Sterling Trucks Australia is one of Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific’s commercial vehicle products and opened for business on January 1, 1999. Sterling evolved from the purchase in April 1998 of Ford’s heavy truck business by the Freightliner Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz.
Sterling manufactures a comprehensive range of heavy trucks incorporating the latest technology, safety, comfort and styling features.
Two Sterling models are offered to Australian operators. The LT7500 has been engineered to make light work of congested streets, tightly accessed sites or whether manoeuvring space is limited. This model is ideally specified for demanding concrete agitator and tipper duties, plus applications that require extreme manoeuvrability. The LT9500 offers an effective medium-horsepower drive train package combined with inherent heavy-truck reliability and aerodynamic design.
